FAQs
Can everything go in the Daddy Sack?
Yes! Everything AND the kitchen sink…well, almost. Before you start filling up your Daddy Sack, you should know that Household Items and Construction & Debris (C & D) items need to be separated. The two categories are disposed of at different waste facilities, so they must be placed into their own Daddy Sack and not mixed in. We recommend having a few Daddy Sacks on hand for this reason. If it happens, the waste facility could increase the disposal fee or worse, refuse it altogether. We also have to follow the rules & regulations set by the municipality, which means we can’t take any hazardous materials. If you’re not sure about an item, call us before tossing it in the Daddy Sack.
Household Items are your everyday things – the junk you want to get rid of or can’t recycle. They can range from furniture items like couches, coffee tables, and curtain rods, to bigger items like that unfixable treadmill you’re using as a clothes rack.
Construction & Debris items are exactly how they sound. Think demolition and renovations, anything from drywall to flooring, shingles, and toilets. Yard waste like leaves, branches, and brush are also considered C & D.
Hazardous Materials are items that require special handling or recycling and we’re not set up for them. These are things like, aerosol cans, batteries, paint, motor oils, propane tanks, or biological & medical waste.
Where do i place the Daddy Sack once i am ready for pickup?
The Daddy Sacks can be placed anywhere on the property within a 20-foot reach of where the truck can access. You’ll need to make sure the location is free of power lines, overhanging tree limbs, and other obstructions.
What size is the Daddy sack?
Daddy Sacks are (L) 8′ x (W) 4′ x (H) 6′.
